RATES

GRASSHOPPER INN OCCUPANCY

  • All prices are based on two adults (over 18), and one to three children under 18.

  • Rooms can accommodate more than two adults. If your party includes more than two adults a $50 per person fee will be charged at time of reservation.

  • King suites includes 2 adults and 1 child (under 18), max is 3.

  • Queen suites includes 2 adults and 1 child (under 18) max is 3.

  • Family suites includes 2 adults and 3 children (under 18) max is 5.

  • Guests must be 18 years old or older with a photo ID to reserve a room and valid credit card.


TAXES

  • All rooms are subject to a 9% Maine Lodging Tax


DEPOSITS:

  • A deposit 50% will be required at the time the reservation made.

  • 50% balance will be paid with same card 14 days prior to stay.

  • All third party bookings are subject to the terms listed here, and are also subject to third parties payment policies, which may differ from site to site.


CHECK IN 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

  • All reservations will be held until 5:00 pm unless otherwise notified.

  • Late check in is easy, please call to review contactless check in.

  • We are keyless, a four digit pin is assigned and email with information is sent day prior to arrival.

  • Please note that Priority Check-In cannot be canceled on the day of arrival, as your room will have been specially prioritized for cleaning that day.


 CHECK OUT 9:00 AM -10:00 AM

  • Vehicles must be removed from the property at checkout.

  • Notify the front desk of your departure when you leave.

  • Late check out is not available.

  • $50 fee per hour will be automatically charged if you stay past 10am.


EARLY DEPARTURE FEE

  • We do not offer refunds for early departures.


CANCELLATION

  • Due to the size of our Inn, cancellations greatly affect us. Therefore, we strictly adhere to our cancellation policy. When we guarantee an accommodation we enter into a contract and we lose the opportunity to reserve the room to others.

  • The deposit will be refunded if we are notified 14 days prior to your arrival date. The guest should contact us via email to request cancellation: info@grasshopperinn.com

  • We will not offer any refund on any cancellation made less than 14 days prior to arrival.

  • Changing dates within a reasonable time frame (30 Days) does not incur any cancellation fees.

  • Emailed cancellation notifications made prior to fourteen (14) days of check in are refunded less a $20 cancelation processing fee. (info@GrasshopperInn.com)

  • Cancellations made within fourteen (14) days of check in are not refundable.

  • All third party bookings are subject to the terms listed here, but must be altered or cancelled thru the third-party bookings site.

  • Grasshopper Inn cannot alter, change or move any third party bookings.

  • Regardless of where the reservation is booked, cancellation policy above remains throughout.


DAMAGE

  • Any damage caused by our guests will be accessed an initial damage fee of $250.

  • This will include damage to the room, property, or missing items.

  • If the damage exceeds $250, an email will be sent itemizing any damages, and any additional charges assessed.


PAYMENT

  • 50% deposit will be applied when your reservation is made.

  • 50% balance will be charged 14 days prior to the reservation date.

  • If you book through a third party, you are subject to the policies of the third party.

  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. 

  • Any additional charges or rentals made at Grasshopper Inn can be added to your room with your verbal or written consent.


PARKING

  • One parking spot included with your reservation.

  • Assigned parking spot is same as your room number.

  • Additional fee of $50 per stay will be applied for additional vehicles, location determined by front desk at check in.

  • Grasshopper Inn will not be held liable for any damages to your vehicle while parking on the premises.

  • Vehicle must be removed from the premises by 10:00 a.m. upon checking out.

  • We offer one Loop EV (electric vehicle) charging station. Must download the Loop App to use.


CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST

  • Served daily from 7:00am - 10:00am

  • We offer coffee, tea, juice, cereal, yogurt, muffins, bagels, peanut butter, cream cheese, butter, jelly, and fruit.

  • For a small fee we offer French Pressed and Iced coffee with our own Grasshopper Inn Blend coffee anytime between 7am and 4pm.


CLEANING

  • We do not offer daily housekeeping. If your reservation is for seven days, cleaning provided on the fourth day at 11:00am.


TOWELS

  • Grasshopper engraved beach towels purchased at inn come with daily washing. Towels should be placed in the plastic bag in room and given to front desk to be washed. Front desk will wash towels from 8am -4pm.

  • All regular used towels can be placed outside the room by 10:00am. Our staff will replace the towels in a clean bag and left outside room door by 4pm.


SMOKING

  • We are a Smoke-Free Facility. Burning candles, incense, or any other device is also prohibited indoors.

  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted on the Grasshopper Inn premises, including on patios or under the private balconies. Guests who wish to smoke must do so at least 15 feet from the building.

  • There will be a $300 fine accessed to cover all cleaning costs for smoking, vaping, or burning candles indoors.


CHILDREN

  • Children must be chaperoned at all times by an adult or parent. No running or yelling through the upstairs hallways or stairs is allowed.

  • Children may not be left alone at the Inn, police will be notified.


PET POLICY

  • Grasshopper Inn is a smoke free/pet free inn. We take our responsibility for the health and safety of all employees and guests seriously. Since some guests and employees may have a serious allergic reaction to animals, may feel threatened in their presence, or damage may be done to the inn, we do not allow pets on the premises at any time. If a pet is found in a guest room, or on the premises, a fine of $250 per day will be charged to the responsible guest.


BEACH CART RESERVATION:

  • When you add a beach cart to your reservation, we will put that cart aside for you.

  • On day of arrival a reserved sign will be on beach cart.

  • Cancellation of beach carts within 14 days is not refundable.

COVID-19

Please visit www.maine.gov for the latest COVID guidelines for the State of Maine.

We will no longer be refunding deposits or amounts paid due to COVID related cancellations or early departures.
